Mares & foals

Breeding season in Marion County is busy, and broodmares deserve special handling. We haul mares to and from breeding sheds, move heavily pregnant mares to foaling barns, and transport mares with foals at side in open box stalls.

Breeding-season trips

Breeding shed runs

Round trips timed to your mare's appointment, including waiting time.

Foaling moves

Late-term mares moved to foaling barns with extra space and gentle driving.

Foal at side

Mare and foal travel together, loose in a fully enclosed box stall.

Weanlings

First trips away from the farm handled slowly, with a calm companion when possible.

Peak season booking

February through June is our busiest stretch. Farms with several mares can set up a season schedule so shed trips are pre-booked around ovulation checks, with priority call-outs when timing changes at short notice.

For farms with multiple mares

  • Season schedules with priority dispatch
  • Monthly invoicing for approved farm accounts
  • Trip log by mare for your breeding records

Questions

How young can a foal travel?

That's a question for your veterinarian. Many breeders wait until a foal is at least a few days old and nursing well. We'll follow your vet's guidance.

Do you haul stallions?

Yes, on private trips or with appropriate separation. We never mix stallions with mares on the same load.

Can we book same-day for a shed appointment?

Often, yes — especially for season-account farms. Call as soon as your vet confirms timing.
